A4 offers
integration to both CompuScan & the MLCB.
For any
credit-checking system to work, like the NLR, micro
lenders need to register all the loans given to clients
with the NLR database. This, of course, so that other
micro lenders can do a NLR database enquiry and see
whether a client still owes money somewhere else. If he
does, you can safely reject the loan application. This
is the answer to reckless money lending.
NLR enquiries are quite expensive. It is therefore
advisable to use the services of a company like
CompuScan to establish whether a client is not a high
risk before doing a NLR enquiry. CompuScan provide
their clients with the credit information of the NLR to
assist them in their customer acquisition process, but
at a considerably cheaper price.
CompuScan also has a batch facility which minimizes user
involvement. In fact, the user need not do anything
other than send a batch file at the end of the day, and
retrieve the information the following morning. The MLCB
integration requires a manual intervention with every
loan granted and repayment received.
